Lord Zango!
My good friend Rob Osborne has started his own comic book company, Absolute Tyrant. His first offering is The Nearly Infamous Zango, which is about the world’s laziest super-villain and his efforts to destroy the competition. I’ve often told Rob that Zango is his “ticket” to comic superstardom, and I stand behind those words. Zango is wildly hilarious, a perfect blending of Rob’s off-kilter humor and great artwork.
Rob has started doing some promo work for the book. There’s an official trailer, an official MySpace page, and of course, the official site for Absolute Tyrant. It’s all very official.
The Diamond order code for Zango # 1 is JAN083288, and the first issue goes on sale next March. I recommend that you buy several copies. After all, when Zango takes off and becomes a hit TV show, inspires a line of action figures, and garners several Oscars, you’ll want to be able to say you were there at the start of it all.
No commentsI Am Legend
I’ve been meaning to write a little review of I am Legend, but then my friend Li emailed me about it, and what followed is much better than what I was intending to write.
Li: “Oh my god…they butchered “I am Legend”. Matheson is spinning in his grave.”
Me: “And he’s not even dead!”
Li: “I was sure he offed himself after seeing the movie.”
